What is Reiki

A natural healing art which balances the body, mind, and spirit, through the application and practice of an ancient energy technique transmitted through the hands. It is a safe, gentle, non-intrusive treatment developed by Dr Usui Mikao, a Japanese Buddhist monk (1865-1926).

Reiki can be used to treat yourself, others, animals, and plants. Results with animals and plants demonstrate that Reiki does not depend on belief or psychosomatic effect.

Reiki is not acquired through meditation or study. The energy must be activated by a Reiki Master Teacher during an attunement over two days of classes. Information is given on how Reiki works, how to use the energy, and the causes of stress and illness. Once the energy is activated, you will have Reiki for life.
